Axis Atlas Credit Card
Axis · Travel · Visa Infinite
By Ashutosh · Last updated June 2026
India's best dedicated travel rewards card — 5% on travel, airline mile transfers, tier-based lounges.
Axis Atlas is built for travelers. 5 EDGE Miles per ₹100 on travel (capped at ₹2L/month cumulative), transferable to 17 airline and hotel partners. The April 2026 reshuffle removed Qatar Airways, Marriott Bonvoy, and Accor, replacing them with British Airways Avios, Vietnam Airlines, and Finnair at a worse 2:1 transfer ratio.
The 2% base rate on non-travel spending keeps it competitive for everyday use. But the ₹5,000 annual fee means you need consistent travel spending to justify it. If you fly 4+ times a year and are willing to learn the miles game, Atlas delivers strong value.
Frequent travelers who value airline miles and premium cabin redemptions. If you fly 4+ times a year, Atlas delivers exceptional value.
You rarely travel or only care about cashback. The miles system requires effort to maximize. For simple cashback, Axis ACE or HDFC Millennia are easier choices.

How do EDGE Miles transfers work?+
Accumulate EDGE Miles from spending, then transfer to partner airlines (Air India, Singapore Airlines, etc.) through the Axis EDGE Rewards portal. Transfer ratios vary by partner — typically 1:1 but check current rates.
Is Atlas better than HDFC Regalia for travel?+
Different strengths. Atlas gives 5% on travel + airline transfers. Regalia gives up to 13% via SmartBuy but only through HDFC's portal. If you want flexibility in booking platforms, Atlas wins. If you're happy using SmartBuy, Regalia's rate is higher.
Does Atlas have zero forex markup?+
No. Axis Atlas charges ~3.5% forex markup on international transactions. The 2% base rewards partially offset this, but you're still paying ~1.5% net on international spends.
