AU LIT Credit Card
The most customizable card in India — choose your own 5% categories. Free forever.
By Ashutosh · Updated June 2026
AU LIT's unique selling point is Feature Packs — you pick which spending categories earn up to 5%, and you can change them monthly. No other card in India offers this level of customization. If your spending pattern is concentrated in specific categories, you can optimize the card to match your life.
The catch is that you need to actively manage it. Select the wrong Feature Pack and you're stuck with 1% base for the month. The 10,000 points/cycle cap limits earning potential for heavy spenders. But for engaged users who check their spending patterns, LIT can outperform cards with fixed reward structures.
People with concentrated spending in 2-3 categories who are willing to actively manage their Feature Pack selection monthly. If you spend ₹15K/month on groceries, set groceries as your 5% category and earn ₹750/month.
You want a set-it-and-forget-it card. If managing reward categories sounds like a chore, Axis ACE's automatic 1.5% on everything is simpler and earns well without any effort.
Customizable rewards — pick your categories · Up to 5% on selected, 1pt/₹100 other
Rates depend on Feature Pack selection. Pick 2-3 categories for up to 5%. Without packs, base is ~1%. Change packs monthly via AU app.
PROS
- Choose your own reward categories
- Lifetime free
- Up to 5% on selected
CONS
- Need to actively select feature packs
- 1% base on non-selected
- 10K points cap/cycle
- Your top spending category (customizable): Up to 5% on whichever category you choose via Feature Packs. This is the card's superpower — it adapts to you.
- Budget-conscious optimizers: Lifetime free with up to 5% on selected categories. You can't beat the rewards-per-rupee-of-fee ratio.
- Changing spending patterns: Moving to a new city? Change your Feature Pack from groceries to fuel. Having a baby? Switch to healthcare. Monthly flexibility is unique.
1% base on non-selected categories is average. If your spending is spread equally across many categories, Axis ACE's 1.5% on everything is better.
10,000 points/cycle cap limits total earnings. At 5%, that's ₹2,500/cycle max — fine for moderate spenders, limiting for heavy ones.
LIT for your top spending category at 5%, ACE for everything else at 1.5% uncapped. Free + ₹499 = best budget combo.

Is AU Bank reliable?
AU Small Finance Bank has grown significantly and offers full banking services. The card is issued on Visa/RuPay networks with standard security features. The app is functional but not as polished as HDFC or ICICI.
